THIS OLD ENGINE

delivers their interpretation of the music of the Grateful Dead for an evergrowing base of devoted fans. Formed in 2015, TOE's experienced musicians are an assembly of some of the best players in north New Jersey's thriving live music scene. Together they form an eclectic jam band, pulling in members of The Samples, Jungle Jazz Initiative, Spare Tire Band and The Watchung Mountain Riders.

Joe is the co-founder of the original music ensembles,

Jungle Jazz Initiative and Chameleons in the Color Factory, Joe also toured extensively with the national act, The Samples.

JOSHUA KESSLER

GUITAR/VOCALS

Co-founder of Montclair, NJ based favorite, Watchung Mountain Riders, Josh loves to play his High Water custom guitar.

TIM McDONALD

BASS

Founder of This Old Engine, Tim also plays with various NJ bands, driving the bus with his favorite bad-ass Modulus bass.

GLEN MULLIGAN

GUITAR/VOCALS

Also a founder of the popular Spare Tire Band, and the rotating line-up band, Mulligan's Stew, Glen ensures the room is always having the best time!

BILLY MUTCHLER

DRUMS

Billy was the touring drummer for the national act, The Samples, as well as the beat-keeper for the popular Spare Tire Band.
